Dashain/Dasehara is the major festival of Nepali and Indian. It is most significant basically for Hindu peoples.
In Nepal, Dashain Hindus, who are also considered as national festivals, worship Shakti from the day of Shukla Pratipada in the month of Ashwin to Navami (in total nine days) and celebrate the tenth day in the morning on the morning of Dashami by receiving Tika-prasad from their elders.
The Hindu people worship with nine days fasting specially in the Terai, southern part of Nepal and India.
On the day of Vijayadashami, it is customary to wear red tika and jamara as offerings to Navdurga Bhavani to commemorate the victory of Bhagwati over demonic power and Rama over Ravan. It has been a tradition in Nepali society for years to prepare and eat various dishes during the festival.

During Dashain, they eat chewy pickles with food. As it takes time to make this pickle, it should be made 10-15 days before Dashain. They make this pickle by fermenting cucumbers and radishes. This food is very tasty with other dishes.
Sikarni
Sikarni is made by mixing curd, cardamom and almonds, it is eaten as a dessert.
